Sight glass
The sight glass, or flow indicator, is used to observe flow. Commonly consists of two opposed sight glasses mounted into a housing. This arrangement allows ambient light to illuminate the flow from behind.
They are generally made by steel, connection to the pipe threaded, flanged, welded.
The temperature limit is important because of the limitation given by the glass. There are more glass options to cope with the temperature, the most used are temperated (up to 180°C) or borosilicated (higher temperature, up to 220°C).
At MAGVALVES we provide a wide range of sight glasses on a fast track base.
